The short version

Your documents never leave your device. Every PDF operation on this site — opening, editing, redacting, merging, converting to Excel — runs inside your own browser. No file, no page of one, and no file name is ever sent anywhere.

You can check that yourself: open your browser's Network tab and watch while you work.

What is collected

• Page views. Taken by the server from the request itself: country and region, browser and operating system family, device type, and the site that linked you here — the hostname only, never the full address.
• Which tools are used. A short event name such as save_pdf or export_excel, whether it worked, how long it took, and coarse buckets for page count and file size. Never the content.
• What kind of edit was made. The first time a document gets, say, a highlight, a signature or a rotated page, the word highlight, signature or rotate is sent once. Never what was written, drawn or where.
• Whether a person is present. One signal on your first click, tap or key press, so visits from automated crawlers can be told apart from people.
• Feedback you send. Whatever you type, your email address if you choose to give one, and the browser details if you leave that box ticked.

What is never collected

• Your files, or anything inside them.
• File names.
• Exact page counts or file sizes.
• Your IP address. It is used in memory to build a visitor count and is never stored.

How visitors are counted

A visitor is a short hash of network address and browser, mixed with a secret that changes every day. It cannot be reversed, and the same person gets a different value tomorrow, so it groups activity within a single day and means nothing beyond it. There are no cookies and no advertising identifiers.

Where it is kept

In a database on Cloudflare, in the Asia-Pacific region, under an account controlled by PDF Desk. It is not sold, not shared, and not used for advertising.

Your choices

Because nothing collected identifies you, there is usually nothing to look up or delete. If you sent feedback and gave an email address, write to hello@pdfdesk.co.in and that message will be removed on request.

Other services

The site is delivered by Cloudflare, which processes requests in order to serve it. No advertising networks, no analytics scripts from other companies and no social media widgets are loaded — the content security policy on every page blocks them.
