How to sign a PDF
- Click Open a PDF to sign above, then the big button on the page that opens, and choose the document. The signature panel opens by itself.
- Draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad or finger, or Type your name and choose a handwriting style. Pick black, blue or green ink.
- Click where the signature should go. Drag it to move it and use the corner handle to resize it.
- Add a date or your name with Add text if the form needs them, and fill any form fields by typing into them.
- Click Download.
Reusing your signature
Tick Remember on this device when you create a signature and it is kept in this browser for next time, under Saved. It is off by default, because family and office computers are often shared. A remembered signature is never sent to the server, and clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
What kind of signature this is
This adds an image of your signature to the page, the same as signing a printout and scanning it. That is what most offer letters, rental agreements, school forms and invoices ask for. It is not a certificate-based digital signature (DSC), which some government portals and company filings require; those need a DSC token and the portal's own signing tool.

Can I sign a password-protected PDF?
